Entering the 2019 MLB season the Washington Nationals were far from favorites to win the World Series. They lost arguably their best player, Bryce Harper, in the offseason to the Philadelphia Phillies.
With a 19-31 record after the month of May, it wasn’t looking good for the Nats to even make the postseason.
However, after breaking into the 2019 Major League Baseball postseason as a wildcard team, the Nationals defied the odds and won it all. Washington defeated the Houston Astros in the 2019 World Series to win for the first time in franchise history.

Two old friends, Steinauer and O’Shea, now meet as the opposing Head Coaches in the 2019 Grey Cup

Hamilton Tiger-Cats football operations consultant Jim Barker will have a proud, dad-like moment on Sunday, November 24.
In 2012, Barker was the head coach of the Toronto Argonauts. He took a chance and asked two retired CFL players, with no previous coaching experience, to join his staff. Barker gave the Winnipeg head coach Mike O’Shea and Hamilton’s Orlondo Steinauer their first CFL coaching jobs. Barker knew O’Shea closely from the time he played for him, and knew Steinauer from reputation. However, their relationship did not begin there.
